Week 4: Tray

  After deciding the angle of the tray, started to cut two pieces of wood in round corner with the same angle chosen, then sheer the metal into the same round corner. 


Start by the corner of the metal, carefully smashed it down, then apply same strength beside the round corner. Keep trimming the exceed metal and keep smashing it until the basic shape comes out.  


  Carefully work on the edges and folded spot in the corner. And sand it at last.

Preview division from last blog:  Individually, part one is the one i'm working on.  It is basically a blister form, so we marked the top shape with paper, then make a blister template as the starting point. Equipment involved:  Guillotine,  English Wheel,  Tinsnips,  Metal Clamps,  Round Nylon Headed Mallet,  Flat Nylon Headed Mallet,  Shrinker Stretcher, Sandbag, Masking tape.
