Digital Making: Bowl

WEEK ONE: BOWL

  Started by sheering the metal into a perfect circle shape, then mark the circle metal into different sections as the diagram shows. 
  Next step is to put the metal on the wooden base with an even sunken spot, then smashed it from the out circle, moved around it with even strength. Repeated until the basic shape of the bowl is finished. 
  Took the bowl into the English wheel and even the angle out. 

  Here comes the result:

Preview division from last blog:  Individually, part one is the one i'm working on.  It is basically a blister form, so we marked the top shape with paper, then make a blister template as the starting point. Equipment involved:  Guillotine,  English Wheel,  Tinsnips,  Metal Clamps,  Round Nylon Headed Mallet,  Flat Nylon Headed Mallet,  Shrinker Stretcher, Sandbag, Masking tape.
