Concept One: Deconstruction and Creation
Perter Eisenman expressed his design philosophy of deconstructivism by fragmenting and distorting walls, roof, even interior space in a sort of controlled chaos, his building often brings the abstract ideas and theories to the fore and elevates them above purpose and practicality. I used this concept to design my light rail stop which addressed the theme of Sustainability.
Concept Two: Sequentiality and Porosity
Aldovan Eyck's design focused on a balance of forces to create a building with many in-between conditions to break down the hierarchy of spaces. I used this concept to fit my light rail stop into the site.
ELECTROLIQUID AGGREGATION
By deconstructing the major rectilinear form into parts, the whole light rail station functioned efficiently and sustainably, instead of having senseless intersection, proper connection between spaces creates the fluent and sequential pathway for passengers.
